The security of your personal information is a prime concern of Founders Insurance Group, Inc. You should know about the measures we take to safeguard social security, driver license, State ID card, debit or credit card, bank account, passport, health insurance ID, or alien registration numbers.
Administrative
All paper applications completed or received in the office containing client personal information are scanned to the agency management system and shred. The agency has a contracted paper shredding service. No credit card numbers are kept. All electronic applications containing client personal information are completed on secured company websites using data encryption and password protection. Applications are transmitted real time.
Technical
Agency management system programs and data are housed offsite. Access is through the internet using secured socket layering websites, encrypted and password protected. The encrypted data is backed up each night at offsite locations. All other data, primarily management reports, is stored on password protected servers at each location. Each agency site uses firewall protection between the internet connection and workstation or server internet access. Corporate edition anti-virus and spyware protection reside on each workstation, server and laptop computer.
Physical
Founders Insurance has not created new paper client files since 01-01-2004. Older paper files are kept in locked office locations and shred on a scheduled basis. We expect to have no more paper client files beyond 01-01-2011.
